Lullelia W. Harrison was the first paid executive secretary of any Greek-letter organization. Lullelia was initiated into Theta Chapter at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, in 1929 at the age of 16 and has worked diligently for Zeta ever since. She served her chapter first and went on to serve her region from 1936 to 1943, at which time she became a dynamic grand basileus. Under the administration of Past National President Lullelia W. Harrison, the first Amicae chapter was organized in Omaha, Nebraska in 1947, making Zeta the first sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council to organize an auxiliary group. Philly Zetas
Thus, in July 1994, at the 74th Grand Boule’ in Orlando, Florida, the Pearlette Club and the results of its pilot program was presented to the International President Jylla Moore-Foster. The Honorable Soror Lullelia W. Harrison presented a motion to the national body to officially adopt the “Pearlettes” as a national youth auxiliary of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the idea was graciously embraced.
